1st Grade

Our first grade program (ages 6-7) focuses on core subjects: math, science, English, and social studies in addition to safety awareness programming, community integration activities, as well as gardening and art programs, to introduce second grade content and age-appropriate skills by incorporating direct instruction, group projects, and individual activities within the classroom, our outdoor learning spaces, and the community. We intricately weave the building blocks of developmentally appropriate aims such as health and wellness, personal and interpersonal development, functional communication, self-regulation, and executive functioning development, among a vast array of interlocking skills. We naturally infuse nature, art, health, safety awareness, community awareness, and much more, into our daily activities and educational environments.
